Web design on the Sunshine Coast, built for trades

WilJam Digital is a small Sunshine Coast studio that builds one kind of website: lead-capture sites for local trades. Here is who we build for, how it works and where we cover.

Who we build for

Most Sunshine Coast web design agencies build for everyone: cafés, accountants, online shops, real estate. That's fine, but a tradie's website has a narrower job than most. It needs to load fast on a phone in a driveway, show up when someone searches a job and a suburb, and turn that search into a quote request with photos attached.

So that's all we build. Our sites are for plumbers, electricians, builders and carpenters, landscapers, roofers and other trades who work across the Coast, the hinterland and up to Gympie. If you're a sole trader replacing a Facebook page or a small team that wants to be found in every suburb you cover, there's a plan sized for you.

How local search works on the Coast

The Sunshine Coast is a string of distinct towns and suburbs rather than one city. It runs about 60 kilometres from Pelican Waters in the south to Noosa in the north, across two councils (Sunshine Coast Council and Noosa Shire), with the hinterland towns behind the coast and Gympie Regional Council further north. People search that way too. They rarely type "plumber Sunshine Coast"; they type "plumber Buderim" or "hot water Kawana", or "near me" and let Google work out where they are.

That means two things matter most for a trade business:

  1. Your Google Business Profile. It drives the map results that sit above everything else for "near me" searches. Correct categories, a realistic service area, photos and a steady trickle of reviews make the biggest difference. Our Business Profile guide covers the setup.
  2. Pages that match suburb and service searches. A page about blocked drains in Coolum, written for Coolum, gives Google a clear match. We write each one with real local substance so it isn't a copy with the name swapped.

The local SEO checklist lays out the full list in order of what to fix first.

How a build works

  1. Quick chat. 15 minutes on the phone or in person about your services, the suburbs you cover and the jobs you want more of.
  2. Pick a design and send your stuff. Choose from six starting designs, then send your logo, photos, licence numbers and Google profile link.
  3. We build and write it. Pages, wording, quote form and Google profile. You check it on your phone and ask for changes.
  4. Go live. We switch it on, submit it to Google and show you the admin. That's usually about seven days after you send your details.

Being on the Coast means we can meet at your yard, on a job site or over a coffee if you'd rather talk face to face. Plenty of tradies prefer that to a video call.

Where we cover

We build for trades anywhere in the region. These pages explain how we'd target each area:

Prices start from $990 one-off or $79 a month, with the domain always in your name. See current pricing, or read what a tradie website costs for how that compares with the local market.

Questions

Do you only build websites for tradies?

Yes. Focusing on trades means every design, quote form and page structure is built around how trade customers search and enquire, rather than adapted from a café or retail template.

Can we meet in person?

Yes. We're based on the Sunshine Coast and happy to meet at your yard, on site or over a coffee anywhere from Caloundra to Noosa and the hinterland.

How much does web design cost on the Sunshine Coast?

Local studios mostly quote $1,600 to $3,000 for a five-page site, and custom builds can pass $10,000. Our trade plans are fixed price, starting from $990 one-off or $79 a month.

Can you promise first-page rankings?

No, and be cautious of anyone who does. We build the pages, schema and Business Profile setup Google looks for, and help you collect reviews, which do most of the work in local search.
